The Internet Configuration System allows a user to enter and maintain Internet preferences in one place for all of the user's Internet applications. For example, such Internet applications as email programs and browsers can obtain the user's name, email address, home page, incoming mail server, and similar preferences from one common place that is easily edited by the user via the Internet Config application. Applications need to call the Internet Config API to take advantage of this system. The Internet Configuration System is in the public domain, and its API is supported by Carbon. |
